Although most of you know Wordpress as a blogging platform, it’s potential for use as an overall CMS is far-reaching and can be an excellent solution for most small-business project requirements. It has recently been awarded the Overall Best Open Source CMS Award in the 2009 Open Source CMS Awards, placing it ahead of MODx and SilverStripe, and is my choice of CMS.
However, if Wordpress isn’t the best solution for your project, we won’t hesitate to use Drupal, CMS Made Simple, ExpressionEngine (the CMS that this website is built with), or some of the other open source CMS.
